 The ACU Parents Association is thrilled to invite the families of ACU freshmen back to campus for a fun-filled Family Weekend! Featuring the antics of the Freshman Follies variety show, the annual football tailgate and much more, we tailor this weekend for you, the families!

Check out the schedule below and make sure to register by clicking the button above so you can get:
  • Discounted meals at the Bean all weekend;
  • Free access to the Money Student Recreation and Wellness Center all weekend;
  • Free Cajun Cones – the iconic Abilene snow-cone stand – and a showing of The Blind Side under the stars Friday night;
  • A complimentary family photo taken by a professional photographer at the picturesque Jacob's Dream sculpture Saturday morning; 
  • Discounted tickets to Saturday's football game; 
  • A 15 percent discount at The Campus Store; and
  • Specials at nearby restaurants Friday and Saturday night!
Also, all registrants are eligible to win a free iPad mini; we'll announce the winner at Saturday evening's football game.

Friday, Sept. 13
  • 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.: Check-In – Hunter Welcome Center
  • 11 a.m.: Chapel Moody Coliseum
  • 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Lunch on your own – Special price of $5 at the Bean with name badges (or use the guest passes on your student's meal plan).
  • 3-10 p.m.: Money Student Recreation and Wellness Center open – Pools close at 6 p.m.
  • 6 p.m.: Hangout on the Hill – Specials at local restaurants with Family Weekend name badges
  • 7:30 p.m.:  Cajun Cones and free Movie on the Hill Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building front lawn (One free cone per name badge, beginning at 7:30. The Blind Side will show at 8:30 p.m.)
Saturday, Sept. 14
  • 8 a.m.-6 p.m.: Money Student Recreation and Wellness Center open Pools close at 3 p.m.
  • 9 a.m.-noon: Check-In – Hunter Welcome Center
  • 9 a.m.-noon: Family photos – Jacob's Dream (free with name badge)
  • 10:15 a.m.: Freshman Follies meet and greet with faculty and staff – Cullen Auditorium
  • 11 a.m.: Freshman Follies – Cullen Auditorium doors open at 10:30 a.m.
  • 11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Residence halls open
  • 11 a.m.-5 p.m.: AT&T Learning Studio open – Brown Library
  • 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Lunch on your own – Special price of $5 at the Bean with name badges (or use the guest passes on your student's meal plan)
  • 12:45 p.m.: Freshman Follies meet and greet with faculty and staff – Cullen Auditorium
  • SOLD OUT1:30 p.m.: Freshman Follies – Cullen Auditorium doors open at 1 p.m.
  • 3:15 p.m.: Freshman Follies meet and greet with faculty and staff – Cullen Auditorium
  • 3:30 p.m.: Freshman Follies – Cullen Auditorium doors open at 3 p.m.
  • 4 p.m.: Tailgate – Shotwell Stadium ($5 per person, only available online), 1525 E.S. 11th St.
  • 6 p.m.: Football vs. New Mexico Highlands University – Shotwell Stadium ($10 ticket price)
  • 8 p.m.-close: Hangout on the Hill – Specials at local restaurants with Family Weekend name badges
